Why cmux Caught My Eye After Comparing Terminal, iTerm2, and Warp

When I open many terminal sessions, top tabs become hard to read.

That is why cmux caught my eye. A left sidebar may fit the way I work better.

The problem is not terminal power

macOS Terminal is fine. iTerm2 is powerful. Warp feels modern.

But my current problem is organization. I want to see many sessions without remembering where everything is.

A left sidebar feels easier to scan

Horizontal tabs get crowded.

A vertical list can stay readable longer. That is the part of cmux that made me curious.

My current choice

I am not saying cmux is the best for everyone.

I am saying its structure matches the problem I feel now: too many terminals, not enough visibility.
