How to Control Codex and Claude Code from a Smartphone with MobileCLI

MobileCLI is useful when you want to keep an eye on coding work away from the desk.

It is not a full replacement for a large screen. But it is good for small commands and quick direction changes.

What it is good for

The best use is remote control.

You can check progress, send a short instruction, or continue a known task.

What it is not good for

A phone is not ideal for reviewing large diffs.

If the task needs careful visual checking or many files, I still prefer a desktop.

Useful pattern

Start the main work on a computer. Then use MobileCLI to monitor, nudge, and finish small steps.

That makes it easier to keep momentum without staying at the desk.

My rule

Use the phone for direction and status. Use the desktop for final review.
