I Got Tired of Overusing AI, So I Made Simple Work Formats

AI is useful, but using it without a format can be tiring.

The answer gets longer. The choices increase. The work becomes harder to finish.

So I started using simple formats.

A format keeps AI inside the job

A good format tells AI what kind of answer is useful.

For example:

  • Purpose
  • Current state
  • What to change
  • What not to change
  • Output format

This is not complicated. It just prevents the answer from spreading too far.

Blog writing format

For article work, I use a format like this.

  • Target reader
  • What they want to solve
  • First answer
  • Missing details
  • Internal links

This keeps the article focused on the reader instead of becoming a general explanation.

Coding request format

For coding work, I keep it even shorter.

  • Goal
  • Files to touch
  • Files not to touch
  • How to verify

This reduces accidental changes.

The point

AI becomes easier to use when the request has a shape.

A format is not extra work. It is the thing that prevents extra work.
